I Came For The Cake

No more crumbs of bakery
I want the entire patisserie
All the croissants & cakes
Marzipan tart & bakes
I will have my fill & more
Then float out of the door
Sans guilt, shame or sorries
Burn ‘em in oven with worries
My life; this wild pet, precious
Will be bold & conspicuous
A multi tired wedding prep
Living, laughing at each step
Longing, Losing & learning
Will keep the fires blazing…
Life ain’t a dish served lukewarm
It’s heaven not a damp dorm
To follow old steps & conform
Will be blasphemy & bad form.
