A Nomad’s Tale

In 2019, on this day I had landed in Oslo, Norway to meet my best friend for the third leg of my 8 country impromptu marathon travel. By this time I had left India, been in Dubai a day, 3 days in Copenhagen, flew to Iceland, just finished my road trip around the Iceland with a group amazing strangers and had flown to Norway. LOL. Madness of the best kind there is🤪🥳🤩

I look back at it and wonder truly how I managed to do it. I don’t know honestly. I just know that I did it.

So much has happened in these 13 days of travels that I was in a dizzy with joy & in a trance.. I was truly living moment to moment and beyond glad that I was not even half way through my expedition.

So many stories had accumulated within a short period of beginning my journey from Bangalore to Copenhagen. I had a layover in Dubai before I got CH. But guess what happened- my connection to Copenhagen was cancelled n hence my flight was moved to the next day same time -830am. So as a result I ended up with a free visa to be in Dubai for a day, free stay for a day n night and the best part - freeee fooood😛. So I went straight to the hotel, changed n set out to see Dubai the whole day 🙂 - all for free. It was unbelievable. The whole experience. N this was the beginning of my 7 country marathon which turned into 8. After my mystical one day in Dubai I set out to Copenhagen! Thanking the gods for this windfall!

There is so much to share but it leaves me grinning, as u search for a logical thread to share it all. It’s been 4 years and it is all fresh in my memory. So I will do a series shortly on this mega impromptu marathon of mine- as a anniversary posts to one of the most magical nomadic escapades of mine.

Travel is door. When opened you are teleported into magical realms. It’s nothing short of a adventure filled fairytale. And the best kinds there is 🤩✈️🎇
